CONCRETE
The aggregates and cement shall comply with the provisions of SABS 1083-1976 and SABS471-1971 (Amended 1973) respectively.
PRESTRESSING WIRE
The prestressing wire shall comply with the provisions of B.S. 2691 and shall have a yield stress of 1500 MPa and Youngs Modulus of 200 GPa.
REINFORCING STEEL
The reinforcing steel shall comply with the provisions of SABS 920-1969 (Amended 1971 and 1975)
STEEL COMPONENTS
The post clamps, post studs, wall ties, fascia brackets and plinth reinforcing rods shall be electroplated.
ERECTION
Erection of the buildings shall comply with the requirements of Agrément Certificate No 88/178
